Adding a Google Plus One button to a content page

Please note Google+ APIs will be shut down on March 7, 2019. You can learn more by clicking here.

By default, your website, and any article or blogs you submit, will have the Google +1 button. However, there may be instances where you want to manually add the Google +1 button to a page within your website.

Adding a Google +1 button to your webpages requires a basic knowledge of HTML. If you have never used HTML before, or never editted your websites using the Source option, we recommend you find someone who can assist you, or experiment on your least important webpage until you get it right.

  1. Log into the webconsole.
  2. Click Manage Pages
  3. Select the page you want to add the Google Plus One button to and click edit.
  4. Select the text section you want to add the Google Plus One button to and click edit.
  5. Click the 'Source' button.
  6. Insert the following code where you want the Plus One button to appear:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script>
    <g:plusone></g:plusone>
  7. Click the save button.

The Google Plus One Button should now be placed correctly on your page.
