How to upload contacts to Database Marketing

Step 1 - Import File

  1. Log into The Web Console and go to Database Marketing
  2. From the Dashboard, click Contacts on the left side menu and then in the new screen that opens up, click the top menu item for Import Contacts.
  3. Taking your pre-prepared CSV file, click on Upload a File and select this file from your computer.
  4. If you have made changes to your CSV file, or you are using a file that was generated from other software, choose the related Delimiter, or leave this set to Comma as a default setting.
  5. If you wish to have your Contact Import update duplicate contacts that are already in your database, change Update Duplicates to Yes, otherwise to have new contacts created, click No.
  6. To add your new contacts into a group, select a group from the Add Contact to Groups section, accept the disclaimer and click next to import your contacts.

Step 2 - Map Contact Fields

Once you have uploaded your CSV file you will then have to map your fields. Click the drop down and select the field that corresponds to your column from the drop down.

When you have selected all of your fields, you can click Start Import and the system will commence importing your contacts. It may take some time, depending on the number of contacts you are trying to import so be sure to allow 5 - 10 minutes for these to be processed.
